Company Directors Paul Muir and Martin Davies founded 1 Answer Insurance in 2000, against a
background of experience with large UK brokers. Between them they have over 35 years broking
experience. 1 Answer Insurance was established with the ability to offer ALL clients 1 Answer to
their insurance needs. 
In 2001 the company’s main products were private car, commercial vehicle and motorcycle insurance. 
In 2002 the company grew considerably by expanding into household and travel policies to compliment
the existing suite of services offered. 
In 2003 the company successfully acquired Executive Insurance, a very well respected Eastbourne
brokerage, retaining the services of owner Tony Sugden who has over 30 years experience in the
insurance industry. 1 Answer continued to grow its product range, by offering insurance on small
liabilities and property owners’ policies. 
In 2004 1 Answer Insurance employed even more experienced staff to further develop the commercial
department and by adding Commercial packages and fleet insurance to its portfolio of products the
product range was once again enhanced and improved. This enabled the company to fulfil its aim of
offering one answer to all their client’s insurance needs. 
In October of 2005, the company became a limited company, although still owned by the original
directors. During this year it also became the flagship broker for 1 Answer Network, a co-operative
for high street brokers founded by Paul Muir to further the message that the high street broker was
a strong and respected addition to any high street in the UK. The Network has members from
Scotland – Isle of Man – Midlands to the South coast and is becoming more and more respected
within the market.
In 2006, 1 Answer developed into one of the fastest growing brokers in Sussex.  The company
developed specialist schemes for Taxi and HGV insurance and now has access to Lloyds markets
and specialist facilities enabling it to insure large commercial risks in addition to its vast portfolio of
risk covers. 
The company has been built upon customer recommendations and customer satisfaction with
a ‘one stop’ service for its customers and will continue to build these on these mediums in the
future.
1 Answer insurance is well on target for its ultimate growth aims, whilst not sacrificing personal
